Meet our team, and read about their perfect day in our neighborhood.

I love starting my day with hot coffee and fresh air. So, before strolling through the UNCC Botanical Gardens with my husband and our dog, Archie, I drive through Starbucks for a macchiato and a puppuccino! Our next stop is Flying Saucer Draught Emporium to enjoy lunch al fresco and quench our thirst with one of the 200+ offered draughts -- and don't forget to join the UFO club and taste every selection to memorialize your name in University City forever! To cap-off the perfect day, you will find me on the lawn at PNC Music Pavilion singing and dancing the night away.

My perfect day would start off with a fun sweat at Rock Box Fitness, and then swing by Kung Fu Tea for a frothy coffee or bubble tea. For an afternoon well spent, I would take a stroll with my husband and puppy, Maverick on the UNCC greenway and maybe catch a tennis match or baseball game by my Alma Mater UNCC Athletics. The remainder of the day would be spent at the Belgate Shopping center browsing Ikea or TJ Maxx. For a quick afternoon pick-me-up, I would take the light rail to the Boardwalk and grab a milkshake at Ninety’s Dessert Bar. For dinner and entertainment, we would enjoy a gourmet dish at Golden Owl Tavern and end at night at Top Golf with friends and some local beers.

To kick off an ideal day in University City, I would grab a sweet Iced Caramel Café Latte from Binki Cafe and then take a walk through the Reedy Creek Preserve in hopes to spot some of the wildlife it has to offer. Afterwards, I’d hop on the Blue Line of the light rail and head over to City Art Room to participate in one of their public “Sip & Paint” sessions. For lunch, I would order a Bento Box at Blacow, so I can enjoy both sushi and a burger! Since Uptown Cheapskate is right around the block, I’d take a walk over and shop for some vintage threads. Next, I would head to Giacomo’s for some delicious New York-style Italian food and follow dinner up with a Cookie Sandwich from Smallcakes. Finally, I would end the day by seeing a movie at the Regal Starlight cinema.

Community Dog

Duchess’ Ideal day starts bright and early at the Lakefront chasing a variety of freshwater birds that call its shore home. The peak of her day is spent at the community dog park testing her agility and romping around with her puppy pals. When it’s time to reenergize, you’ll find her lounging comfortably in the leasing office with her favorite NOVEL University Place team.
